Activating the MICR font for check printing

Applies to: Club Office, 99.10.14 and later.
Last updated: Monday January 17, 2011.

SUMMARY

Club Office provides a method to print the check number in the upper right corner of the check as well as in micr code (the code at the bottom of the check that the bank system needs). It is necessary to install the micr.ttf font on your computer to utilize this feature, as well as select check styles that include the check number feature.

PROCEDURE

  1. Download the micr.ttf font. Click here to download it: micr.ttf
  2. Copy it to the \windows\fonts folder on your local hard disk. If you use Windows NT, you should copy it to your \winnt\fonts folder instead.
  3. Inside Club Office's Checkbook and Payroll modules, be sure to select the check style that states WITH check numbers. These settings will remain until you change them. Note that the manual check mode uses the same setting as the checkbook.
  4. Be sure to use check forms that do not have pre-printed check numbers from your check supplier.
  5. You're done.
