How to use MYLABELS for Barcode Printing

  1. Start Windows as you normally do.
  2. Click MY LABELS (or whatever icon you design to start the program after installation)
  3. Click FILE, then move the mouse down to OPEN.
  4. Click PRICE2.LBL, then click OK. In a moment you’ll see the label layout.
  5. Click on the DATA ENTRY tab near the top left center of the screen.
  6. Click EDIT….then DELETE, and type a 1 in the FROM box and the total number of labels in the database in the TO box. (The LABEL COUNT number is displayed at the bottom center of the screen.) Then click OK to delete any labels currently in the file.
  7. Click FILE, then move down and click on IMPORT. The import file box will appear.
  8. Find the \TNS directory on your system (either C:\WESTHO\TNS or D:\TNS - it’s the same thing) This is also wherever you "print" the labels to disk.
  9. In the File Name box, type the name of the file to import. (Or you can use the scroll bars to locate it and then CLICK on it to put the file name in the box automatically.)
  10. Click OK to import the file; you’ll get another import box which analyzes the file. For "import method" it should read Quote and Comma. Along the bottom just above the buttons you’ll see a line of information which the import file is looking at – this is the first line of your input file.
  11. Click ASSIGN. Then click AUTO ASSIGN on the next box which appears; then click OK.
  12. Click the IMPORT button along the bottom of the screen to finish importing the file. You’re ready to print.
  13. Click the PRINT button in the upper right corner of the screen (or FILE….PRINT) to print the records. You’ll get the chance to print ALL of them or select a FROM….TO number of those loaded.
  14. When done, click FILE…EXIT…and click YES

You don’t have to "alter database" as you do with Labels Unlimited; this program does it for you. Also, it takes a bit less memory and doesn’t conflict with Canon printer settings the way Labels Unlimited does.
